The teacher understands how to connect concepts and use differing perspectives to engage learners in critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative problem solving related to authentic local and global issues.
My work:
I taught a lesson on nouns to a third grade class. After teaching the lesson to the whole group (on the first two slides), I split the students into rotating groups, and one group did the interactive games while another group made a foldable and the third group looked for nouns in their silent reading books. It is important to have a variety of tools to reinforce concepts for students and give them a variety of ways to learn the material in order to appeal to the wide range of learning needs and styles of students.
