The teacher works with others to create environments that support individual and collaborative learning, and that encourage positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self motivation.
My work:
I created a model of how I will manage my own classroom, including behavioral expectations, student input, and a culture of respect. This model is based on a hypothetical third grade classroom, but it would be adapted for other ages and contexts. My plan is to “keep kids good” by providing them with appropriate limitations and freedoms to give them a context in which they can grow. I believe it is important for teachers to have set boundaries and plans for classroom management in order to have a safe environment where students can learn and grow.
