The teacher plans instruction that supports every student in meeting rigorous learning goals by drawing upon knowledge of content areas, curriculum, cross-disciplinary skills, and pedagogy, as well as knowledge of learners and the 
community context.
My work:
I wrote this lesson plan for a first grade unit on force, motion, and energy, which includes sound concepts. It includes accommodation ideas for ELL students and gifted students. It also includes an integration of an art SOL. I believe it is important for teachers to plan their lessons with individual students’ needs in mind and to be able to incorporate different skills into content lessons, whether those skills are across content areas or even for non-content areas, such as social and cooperative skills.
